Botley Road CLOSURE

11th Apr 2023 onwards

Until the end of October 2024, the section of Botley Road that passes underneath the rail bridge near Oxford Rail Station will be closed to motor vehicle traffic, including buses. The following services are affected by the bridge closure: BROOKESbus400/U1, city3B, city4A, connector 33 and Thames Travel 63/63S. Full details can be found using the link below.

Temporary Stop Suspension Osney Island

11th Mar 2024 onwards

Due to Thames Water works on Botley Road, the Osney Island stop towards the City Centre will be suspended until further notice.

A temporary stop will be in place just before the pedestrian lights, and signs stating where will be published in the area.

Unable to serve Marsh Road (City bound)

9th - 14th Jan 2025

Due to Thames Water works, the Marsh Road (Oxford bound) stop will be suspended from 9th January 2025 until the 14th January 2025.

All passengers will need to use either Clive Road or Shelley Road as an alternative.

Unable to serve Marsh Road (City bound)

9th - 14th Jan 2025

Due to Thames Water works, the Marsh Road (Oxford bound) stop will be suspended from 9th January 2025 until the 14th January 2025.

Unable to serve Herschel Crescent

9th Aug 2024 onwards

We have been informed that Herschel Crescent has been closed until further notice, as such our 5A services will be unable to serve the stops within. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will keep you updated as we get more information.

Unable to serve Stowford Road

6th - 17th Jan 2025

Due to ongoing works around Underhill Circus and Stowford Road, Stowford Road will be closed to all traffic from 6th–17th January 2025. During this period, all City8 services will need to divert and will not be able to service the Stowford Road bus stop.

Coach & Horses, Chiselhampton stops temporarily suspended

10th - 28th Jan 2025

Due to roadworks, the Coach & Horses stops in Chiselhampton will be temporarily suspended between 10/01 and 28/01 in both directions. Temporary stops will be provided in close vicinity, near the residential area.

Services ST1 and 46 diverting due to Donnington Bridge closure

20th Aug 2024 onwards

We have received notification from Oxfordshire County Council about an emergency 7.5T weight restriction being imposed on Donnington Bridge starting 20/08/2024. To reflect the above, ST1 services will need to divert via Iffley Road and the Eastern By-Pass until further notice. In addition, the 46 service will need to divert via Iffley Road in both directions until further notice.

During this time, the ST1 will be unable to serve the following stops in either direction:
Redbridge Park & Ride
Canning Crescent
Weirs Lane
Donnington Bridge
Townsend Gardens

In addition, the following stops will not be served by the 46 in both directions:
Townsend Square
Donnington Bridge
Weirs Lane
Chatham Road
Lincoln Road
Lake Street
Newton Road
Whitehouse Road
Police Station

8th - 24th Jan 2025

Due to roadworks, the Abingdon-bound Beverley Close stop will be temporarily suspended between 08/01 and 24/01. Passengers are advised to use the Abingdon College or Parsons Mead stops during this time.
