Islip Bridge Closure

A temporary timetable will be in operation on services 25/25A for the duration of the Islip Bridge closure.
From 27th September to 20th November 2026, a temporary timetable will be in operation on services 25/25A due to the closure of Islip Bridge.
With support from Oxfordshire County Council, we will be operating an additional bus throughout the closure period to help maintain reliability and minimise delays caused by the longer diversion route.

Service 25 diversion route
Towards the JR Hospital
Buses will operate their normal route to Islip, where they will serve temporary stops on High Street before diverting via Kidlington Road, Bicester Road, Oxford Road, Banbury Road, Marston Ferry Road, Cherwell Drive, Copse Lane and Saxon Way to the JR Hospital, West Wing.
Buses will serve all stops between Islip and Cutteslowe (Harefields), before running non-stop to Northway (Copse Lane West).
Towards Bicester
Buses will operate the normal route as far as Headington (Green Road Roundabout), before diverting via the bypass, Banbury Road, Oxford Road, Bicester Road and Kirtlington Road to Islip.
All stops along the diversion route will be served.
Islip to Barton shuttle bus
During the closure, service 25 will be unable to serve the section of route between Islip and Barton Park.
To maintain connections, a shuttle bus will operate between Islip Bridge and Barton (Wick Close). In Barton, customers can connect with service X3 for onward travel to and from the JR Hospital.
