Oxford Christmas Light Bus!

This December, Oxford will be illuminated with festive cheer as the Oxford Christmas Light Bus travels on the city's streets. This magical event, organised by Oxford Bus Company, City Sightseeing Oxford, and Thames Travel, in partnership with Get Radio, will bring joy to all ages.

A Magical Christmas Journey

This festive spectacle will feature our iconic City Sightseeing Oxford open-top bus, decked out in hundreds of twinkling lights. As the bus winds its way through Oxford, it will create a magical atmosphere, accompanied by a soundtrack of Christmas classics provided by our fabulous partner, Get Radio, Oxfordshire's local radio station.

The bus will stop at designated stopping locations to spread even more Christmas cheer and allow our colleagues to distribute delicious treats to children and adults alike, including vegan and gluten-free options.*

How will it work?

The bus will turn up at the stopping locations and then members of staff (elves) will come out to spread festive cheer and hand out some sweet treats! Visitors will unfortunately not be able to travel or get on the bus during this time.

What Are The Stopping Locations?

Stopping locations are specific places within Oxfordshire where the Christmas Light Bus will pause its journey. Our friendly colleagues will distribute delicious treats at these locations.*

For Those Living Outside Oxford

If your area isn't one of our stopping locations, you can still travel to Oxford to participate in the experience. We still have £2 fares available until the end of December. Click here to plan your journey.
