Oxford Bus Company will once again be providing a free shuttle bus to the Harcourt Arboretum Autumn Fair, which takes place later this month.
The popular event attracts visitors from across the region and Oxford Bus Company will transport people via a free shuttle bus from Redbridge Park & Ride.
There’ll be plenty of activities for visitors to enjoy on Saturday 24th October, including live demonstrations, woodland walks, traditional crafts, local artisan stalls, and delicious seasonal food.
The Autumn Fair is open between 10am and 4pm, with last entry at 3pm. Oxford Bus Company will be supplying a free shuttle bus to Nuneham Courtenay throughout the day.
Visitors can also travel to the Arboretum using the River Rapids X40 service, which operates every 30 minutes between Oxford city centre and Reading, and stops at Nuneham Courtenay, a short walk from the attraction. Oxford city centre stops include the Westgate shopping centre and the St Aldates police station.
The X40 also serves Berinsfield, Shillingford, Benson, Crowmarsh Gifford, Wallingford, Woodcote, Chazey Heath and Caversham.
Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company, said: “We’re delighted to once again be supporting the Autumn Fair with a free shuttle bus service.
“Harcourt Arboretum is one of Oxfordshire’s leading attractions, and the Autumn Fair draws a huge number of people each year.
“Visitors can travel sustainably and enjoy the journey from Redbridge Park & Ride to Harcourt Arboretum in approximately 15 minutes and get dropped off right outside the entrance.”
Heidi El-Megrisi, Head of Operations at Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum, said: “The Autumn Fair is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the spectacular autumn colours at Harcourt Arboretum, with the Acer Glade providing a particularly vibrant display of reds, oranges, and golds.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors of all ages for a day of family activities and fun, surrounded by the beauty of the Arboretum at this very special time of year.”
This year’s Autumn Fair features working horse demonstrations, interactive theatre performances, botanical printing, and traditional crafts including spinning, weaving and natural dyeing.
There will also be live music, winding woodland trails, and the chance to write your own nature poetry.
