Oxford Bus Company’s South Park Fireworks shuttle buses return

Oxford Bus Company, Fireworks Shuttle Bus, 7th November 2026

Oxfordshire’s biggest charity fireworks display is back at South Park on Saturday, 7th November.

Raising money for local charities and good causes, the annual South Park display will once again be lighting the skies above the dreaming spires of Oxford. From 4:30pm, visitors can expect an explosive evening of funfairs, food, drink and, of course, fireworks! A mini, low-noise display starts at 6:30pm, with the main event kicking off at 7:15pm. After the main display, a quieter Silent Disco Afterparty begins. Choose your carefully curated playlist and boogie the night away while enjoying everything the event has to offer.

Oxford Bus Company will be providing a shuttle bus to and from South Park and Thornhill Park&Ride.

Running directly from Thornhill Park&Ride to the display, this special 450 service will stop at St Clements, Cherwell Street. Departing back to Thornhill Park&Ride, catch the 450 from the St Clements, South Park stop.

The 450 shuttle will run in addition to the normal 400 timetable operating from Thame to St Clements via Thornhill P&R, providing a combined frequency of every 5 minutes until late into the evening.

Click here to see the combined 400/450 timetable.  Live tracking and timetables will also be available in the Oxford Bus app.

Fares

Normal bus fares will apply on the shuttle bus service. If you’re travelling from Thornhill, why not take advantage of the Combined Parking & Bus Travel tickets? For just £3.00, you can park for up to 16 hours, with free bus travel to the fireworks on the 400 and 450 shuttle bus included for up to five people.

Where to board:

400 and 450 will board at Thornhill at stop B. Upon return customers are advised to use South Park, St Clements for the 450 or St Clements for the 400.
