Fare Changes from 2nd September 2024

From Monday 2nd September, the price of most Reading All-Bus Multi-Operator day tickets will be changing.

Because we continue to participate in the national fare cap scheme, the price of single and return tickets on our local bus services will remain capped at £2.00 and £4.00, respectively. (See our £2 fare page for more information and to see exclusions.) 

Overview of changes

To help you understand these changes better, here is a summary of the updated ticket prices:

• Day ticket prices will increase to £4.50 when bought from the driver and £4 when bought through the app or by using Freeflow (tap on, tap off).
• The young person day ticket will increase to £3 both on bus and through the app.
• The off-peak group ticket stays unchanged at £5.50, but the peak ticket will increase to £10.
