Service Changes from 22nd February 2026

Service changes 22nd February 2026

We'll be making some changes to our bus network from Sunday 22nd February 2026 to improve reliability and punctuality.

These changes reflect current operating conditions, following the introduction of the temporary congestion charge and free Park&Ride travel. Three months into the scheme, we have now been able to fully assess its impact on our services. This has allowed us to introduce faster journeys and more resilient timetables across a greater number of routes in and around Oxford.

While some services have benefited from improved traffic conditions, we have not seen the journey time improvements expected on service 700. To address this, we are adding an additional bus to the route to help keep services running on time.

We are also making improvements to routes 400 and N400, including an enhanced night bus frequency of up to every 30 minutes.

Frequently asked questions

1. Why are these changes happening?

We’re making these adjustments to improve punctuality and reliability across our network. Recent changes such as the congestion charge and free Park&Ride travel have affected traffic patterns, so we’ve retimed services to keep buses running as smoothly as possible.

2. When do the new timetables start?

All changes will take effect from Sunday 22 February. Please check the updated timetables before you travel.

3. How can I find the new timetable for my route?

Updated timetables will be available on our website and app. Simply search for your route number or use the journey planner to see the latest times.

4. Will my usual bus stop change?

Most stops remain the same. However, Service 3A will now terminate at Kassam Stadium instead of Cowley Lidl. If you travel beyond Kassam Stadium, you can use Stagecoach service 600 for a direct link to Oxford City Centre.

5. Are any services more frequent?

Yes! The N400 night bus will run every 30 minutes, making it easier to travel late at night.

6. What should I do if I’m unsure about my journey?

Use our journey planner or contact our customer service team for help. We’re here to make sure your travel is as smooth as possible.
