Oxford Bus Company supporting Oxford Pride with popular rainbow bus

Today Thu 4th Jun 2026

Oxford Bus Company will again be supporting Oxford Pride this weekend, with the popular rainbow bus set to make its third consecutive appearance.

The branded Pride bus will be taking part in the parade on Saturday, leading the procession from Paradise Square at 11am. It will then leave the parade route at Cornmarket Street and head to the Radcliffe Camera to pick up less able-bodied attendees and take them back to Paradise Square.

There will be a promotional stand at Paradise Square, with Oxford Bus Company staff sharing timetable information and branded merchandise.

Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Oxford Pride this weekend, demonstrating our support for the LGBTQIA+ community in Oxfordshire.

“We’re looking forward to creating a friendly and welcoming space, engaging with the community in a positive manner, and answering questions about our services and timetables.

“The electric rainbow-emblazoned bus has become a popular part of Oxford Pride, and it will again play a key role this year.”

Oxford Bus Company is a long-term supporter of Oxford Pride, with thousands of people coming together each year for the event.

Following the parade on Saturday, there will be community events and performances across Leiden Square and Paradise Street between midday and 8pm, prior to a party in Paradise Street from 7:30pm until 10pm.

Oxford Pride is a volunteer-led charity which celebrates and supports the LGBTQIA+ community across Oxfordshire. The first Pride Day took place in May 2003, with the first parade evolving in 2008.
