Go-Ahead ranked a top apprenticeships employer
4 months ago
At Oxford Bus Company we understand the importance of apprenticeships and the vital role they play in upskilling our colleagues.
Oxford Bus Company is part of the Go-Ahead Group which has been recognised as the top apprenticeships employer in the transport industry for a third year running in a ranking accredited by the Department for Education, named as the 7th top apprenticeships provider in England overall for 2024.
As part of the Go-Ahead Group, Oxford Bus Company is committed to employing apprentices who represent the communities we serve and to growing diversity in our teams. We believe that apprenticeships are a crucial way to help individuals develop and build rewarding careers with us. Recently, we bid farewell to bus builder Nigel Brown, who celebrated 50 years of employment with us, having started his career as an apprentice coach builder at our former Cowley Road depot. Additionally, one of our current engineering apprentices, Mercedes Goodhall, participated in a webinar titled "Why the Bus and Coach Industry is the Best Destination for Aspiring Women Engineers." for International Women’s Day.
We are proud of our commitment to fostering talent and diversity through apprenticeships and look forward to continuing to support the growth and development of our colleagues.
