Get around for £1

Travel for just £1 within Oxford’s CityZone

If you’re aged 18 or under, the Get Around Card lets you travel for just £1 per journey on Oxford Bus Company, Thames Travel & Pulhams bus services within the CityZone.

Application fee

  1. The one‑off application fee is just £15.
  2. This fee is paid when you apply and helps cover the cost of producing and issuing your card.

How long your card lasts

Your Get Around Card will now be valid until whichever happens first:

  1. Three years from the date your card is issued, or
  2. The end of the month of your 19th birthday.

Example:

If you apply when you’re 15, your card will be valid for three years. When it expires, you’ll need to submit a new application.

Lost, stolen or damaged cards

  1. Lost cards: a new application (and fee) will be required.
  2. Stolen cards: we’ll replace your card free of charge if you provide a valid crime reference number.

£1 per journey

  1. You still pay just £1 per bus journey.
  2. The £1 fare applies to travel within Oxford’s CityZone on any Oxford Bus Company or Thames Travel bus.
  3. The Get Around Card is available to under‑19s.

How to apply

The application process is very simple and can be done either online or at our Gloucester Green travel shop. Please note you will need to supply proof of age (passport, birth certificate or driving licence) and, if applying in a travel shop, a passport-sized photograph.

Once ordered (either online or through Gloucester Green Travel Shop), please allow 3 to 5 working days for the card to arrive.
