Faster timetable introduced to airline service ahead of summer holidays

Luxury airport transport service the airline has introduced a faster timetable alongside infrastructure improvements ahead of the summer holidays.

The updated timetable, introduced on Sunday 19th July, aims to provide faster journeys between Oxford and Heathrow and Gatwick Airports via High Wycombe.

Following the introduction of Oxfordshire County Council’s temporary congestion charge in Oxford, improved traffic flow in and around the city has enabled the airline to implement timetable enhancements.

The airline is also adjusting stops at Heathrow Airport to streamline arrivals, with coaches terminating at Heathrow now serving stops on the departures level at Terminal 5.

Luke Marion, Managing Director of Go Thames Valley, which operates the airline, said: “Key benefits of the congestion charge including faster journeys and reduced traffic, which have allowed us to introduce these changes.

“Our passengers can look forward to quicker daytime trips to Gatwick Airport, a reflection of the better daytime traffic conditions currently experienced.

“In addition to this faster timetable, introduced in time for the summer holidays, we’re also investing in improvements at our Gloucester Green travel shop and wider coach station.”

Earlier this year, £4 million was invested in 13 new luxurious Mercedes Tourismo coaches to celebrate the airline’s 40-year anniversary and its dedication to providing a first-class passenger experience, with the first two of these vehicles having now entered service. The remaining 11 vehicles are expected over the second half of 2026.

The airline coaches include seat trays to accommodate laptops and tablets, plus USB charging points. There are also satnav displays to enable passengers to check the progress of their journey, while the coaches have climate control, free Wi-Fi, wheelchair access and ample storage for suitcases and bags.

Revised prices have also been implemented for the airline service, although all adult and group ticket prices remain unchanged when booked in advance.

The airline also now offers convenient connections from High Wycombe through Carousel Buses’ new airline flyer ticket, providing easy access to Heathrow and Gatwick services.
