Abingdon, Michaelmas Fair 2026

Today 07:00 - 7th Oct 2026

Due to the Michaelmas Fair, several roads will be closed in Abingdon Town Centre between 07:00 04/10 and 09:00 07/10. During this time, all of our services will need to divert as follows:

X3:
Towards Abingdon, services will divert from the Peachcroft Roundabout via Twelve Acre Drive, Radley Road, to terminate at Our Lady's Convent.
Towards Oxford, services will be following the regular route from Our Lady's Convent via Oxford Road.
Passengers can alight at the stops along Radley Road.

6:
Towards Abingdon, services will divert from Radley Road Roundabout via Twelve Acre Drive and Oxford Road to terminate at Our Lady's Convent.
Towards Oxford, services will follow their regular route from Our Lady's Convent via Radley Road.
Passengers can alight at the stops along Oxford Road.

X15:
Services will divert via Faringdon Road and Spring Road in both directions. Passengers can alight at the stops along the diversion.

X2, 41, 43, BB1 & BB1A:
Services will divert via Bath Street, Faringdon Road and Spring Road in both directions. Passengers can use at the stops along the diversion at Bath Street and Godwyn Close.

33:
Towards Abingdon, 33 services will divert from Bridge Street via East St Helens Street, St Helens Wharf, Caldecott Road, Drayton Road, Spring Road and Faringdon Road, terminating at Bath Street. Services towards Henley will divert from Bath Street via Sturt Street, in order to resume their regular service from Bridge Street.

44:
Towards Abingdon, 44 services will follow their regular route and terminate at Bath Street.
Towards Oxford services will divert via Stert Street, East St Helens Street, St Helens Wharf, Caldecott Road, Drayton Road, Spring Road in order to resume their regular route on Faringdon Road.

45:
Towards Abingdon, services will divert from Bridge Street via East St Helens Street, St Helens Wharf, Caldecott Road, Drayton Road, Spring Road and Faringdon Road to terminate at Bath Street.
Towards Cowley, services will begin from Bridge Street.

X35:
Towards Abingdon will divert via Spring Road and Faringdon Road in order to terminate at Bath Street.
Towards Wantage & Didcot services will divert via Stert Street, East St Helens Street, St Helens Wharf, Caldecott Road and Drayton Road in order to resume their regular route on Marcham Road.

Queen Street temporary closure

2nd - 26th Oct 2026

We have been advised that Queen Street will be closed between from 07:30 28/09 and 17:30 26/10 for roadworks. During this time our services will need to divert as follows:

Our 3, 3A and 6 services will divert via Castle Street, Norfolk Street, Speedwell Street and St Aldates to resume their regular route on the High Street and Police Station respectively.

Our 8 services will terminate at Speedwell Street, turn around via Thames Street and commence service from the Police Station stop P2.

Our 46 and 500 services will divert from Westgate via New Road, Oxpens Road, Speedwell Street and St Aldates to resume their regular route on the High Street.

Our X2, X15 and X40 services will divert from Westgate via New Road, Oxpens Road, Speedwell Street to resume their regular route at the Police Station, and as such they will be unable to serve St Aldates.

*Update* Witney Access Scheme Phase 2 Roadworks

Update:

Due to further road closures on Witney Market Square and Welch Way, our services will divert as follows until 09/10:

Our 19 and 64 services will divert via Corn Street in both directions, terminating and commencing service from Langdale Gate.

Our H2 and X9 services will operate via High Street, Welch Way and Corn Street in both directions in order to terminate and commence service from Langdale Gate.

Due to the Phase 2 of the Witney Access Scheme roadworks, between 10th of August and October our services operating within Witney will divert as follows:

X15 services will divert from Marriotts Walk via the High Street and Witan Way in order to terminate at Langdale Gate stop, services will then commence from Langdale Gate and resume their regular route via Corn Street towards Oxford.
