This free display at the Ashmolean is dedicated to showcasing a selection of coins found throughout Oxfordshire, and tells a story that spans from the Roman conquest, all the way to the end of Roman Britain. Discover Iron Age gold staters, buried during the Roman invasion, coins depicting a variety of different emperors, and historic finds from across local villages.
