Join printmaker Asma Hashmi at the Ashmolean Museum for a hands-on printing workshop.
As part of the Love & Legacy season at the museum, explore the techniques involved in blind embossing. Rather than traditional ink, you’ll instead get hands-on with an etching press, creating raised, textured designs on paper as opposed to coloured images.
Participants will have plenty of time to experiment with the press, refine ideas and explore a whole range of approaches to blind embossing before creating their final piece. Take inspiration from the Ashmolean’s collections to craft a series of beautifully embossed, tactile impressions that you’re sure to enjoy for years to come.
