We've made our buses safer

During 2020, we've made a lot of changes to our cleaning procedures. All our buses now undergo enhanced touchpoints cleaning every day, with special virucidal chemicals being used to protect surfaces on board. Our driver colleagues are given protective PPE, and we're encouraging everyone who can to wear face coverings on board to minimise the spread of germs.

Also,our new "When2Travel" tool helps you see how busy buses on your route are - so if you want to, you can plan your journey to travel on the quieter buses.

You can pay safely

We implemented an increased contactless payment limit of £45, along with the ability for customers to top up key cards on the bus with a contactless card, to reduce the need to interchange of cash between customers and drivers where possible.

We've also introduced our new touch free payment system "Freeflow" to help make paying for your travel as quick and convenient as possible, and to eliminate unnecessary touchpoints.

Tickets can still be purchased in advance or on the day on our app.

We're now even cleaner - and greener than ever

During lockdown, we've kept working hard to improve our bus and coach fleet

We're proud to say that we've added a further nine new ultra low emission Euro 6 buses to the Oxford Bus Company and Thames Travel fleets. These new UK built buses are great for the environment, and are packed with creature comforts too - including USB and wireless charging, comfortable high back seating, free WiFi and audio-visual next stop announcement systems. Our buses and drivers have kept moving throughout the pandemic, supporting essential journeys and helping key workers get to work.

Now that we're welcoming more customers back on board with us, we've made some changes to our timetables to help ensure that everyone can travel with us safely.
