St Giles' Fair - 4th - 5th September 2017

The annual St Giles' Fair will take place once again on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th September 2017. The resulting closure of St Giles and Magdalen Street will mean that our services will need to divert for the duration of the fair, as well as the Sunday the 3rd September (whilst setup takes place) and the early hours of Wednesday the 6th September 2017.

Buses that normally pick up and drop off on Magdalen Street will instead do so on Broad Street. The pickup location for city2, city6, park&ride300 and park&ride500 will be outside Blackwell's Bookshop.

Where is the Blackwell's Bookshop?

As buses will need to divert via Parks Road in order to access the city centre, some stops will be unable to be served:

  • park&ride300 and city6 (towards Oxford): Magdalen Street, Canterbury Road, Plantation Road, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter. Please use the temporary stop on Broad Street, the Parks Road stops or St Margarets Road stop as alternatives.
  • park&ride300 and city6 (towards Pear Tree and Wolvercote): Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Plantation Road. Please use the temporary stop on Broad Street, the Parks Road stops or St Margarets Road stop as alternatives.
  • park&ride500 and city2 (both directions): Keble Road and Magdalen Street stops will not be served.

The two bus stops on Parks Road (near to Keble Road) will also be served on the diversionary route as an alternative.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
