Brookes Bus

Oxford Brookes University is an integral part of the Oxford community and has purposefully made the BrookesBus service available to everyone. The university is committed to reducing the number of cars accessing its campuses and the city centre and to promoting the use of public transport. The BrookesBus is an important part of the University's Sustainable Travel Plan.

Oxford Bus Company has been serving the city for nearly 130 years and in that time has met many challenges. We have emerged as a modern, customer-focussed company with an emphasis on community engagement and social and environmental responsibility. Our fleet is the lowest emission in the UK, and the buses used for the Brookesbus service have emissions lower than those of the exacting "Euro 5" standard. The new Brookesbus will use smartcards (the "Brookeskey") instead of magnetic strip travel cards.
