The BrookesBus service is operated by Oxford Bus Company in partnership with Oxford Brookes University. The service links the main University sites and Halls of Residence with the City Centre. The BrookesBus is available for everybody, including key holders, Brookeskey holders and concessionary pass holders.  

Travel for £1

From 1st April 2012 you can purchase a £1 single ticket on all park&ride and city services within SmartZone by showing your Brookeskey to the driver.

This discount is exclusive to active Brookeskey holders.

Change to BrookesBus U1 Vacation Timetable

From Sunday 20th May, there will be a slight change to the BrookesBus vacation timetable from Harcourt Hill to Wheatley Campus.

The change is to the 19:50 and 20:50 departures from Harcourt Hill, with both journeys operating 20 minutes later at 20:10 and 21:10 respectively, 7 days per week.

Any BrookeBus booklets will be out of date from Sunday 20th May and should be replaced with the new vacation timetable, available here.

Brookeskey applications for students joining in the 2012/13 academic year will be available in the near future.

U1 (NU1)

The U1 operates from Harcourt Hill Campus to Wheatley Campus via Oxford City Centre and Headington.

The U5 operates from Oxford City Centre to Marston via Cowley Road and Headington.

U5X

The U5X operates during term time only and runs from The Plain to Wheatley Campus via Cowley Road, Hollow Way and Slade Park.

U4

The U4 operates during term time only and runs from Marston to Tesco Retail Park via Headington and Hollow Way.

The Buses

The majority of the BrookesBus fleet is made up of new ultra-low emission double deck buses with leather seats, air-conditioning, real-time information screens and free Wi-Fi on board.
