Service diversion - city4
Owing to works taking place in Bath Street, the city4 service will be temporarily diverted from Monday 09th August 2010 for approximately 2 weeks.
Abingdon Bound services will divert from its usual route at the junction of Faringdon Road and Spring Road and operate via Spring Road, Ock Street and Stratton Way, where the service will terminate.
Oxford Bound services will operate from Stratton Way to Stert Street, then via High Street, Ock Street, Spring Road and Faringdon Road, where normal route will resume towards Oxford.
As a result of the diversion, the city4 service will leave Stratton Way stop A3 5 minutes earlier than time advertised.
Service Changes
- the city 4 evening and Sunday service between Cumnor and Abingdon will operate via the standard daytime route of Dalton Barracks, Shippon and Faringdon Road from Sunday 6 June 2010;
- airline services will return to the higher level of service from Sunday 13 June 2010 until Saturday 2 October 2010.
From Sunday 25 July 2010 there will be changes to city6, city35 and Park&Ride timetables:
- city6: the Monday to Saturday evening service will be every 20 minutes throughout; on Sundays the 20 minute daytime frequency will start earlier at 10:00 and finish later at 19:00, with the current 30 minute frequency continuing outside these times.
- city35: the Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday operation will be revised to include bus based duties in an attempt to improve reliability. The timetable itself is unchanged.
- Park&Ride300: there will be a new evening service operating every 30 minutes between Redbridge, City and Pear Tree on Monday to Saturday evenings until approximately 23:30 from city centre; the daytime service on Saturday will change from the current split service to a through service; the Sunday daytime frequency will increase to every 12 minutes between 11:00 and 17:00.
- Park&Ride400: there will be a new evening service operating every 30 minutes between Thornhill, City and Seacourt on Monday to Saturday evenings until approximately 23:30 from city centre.
- Park&Ride500 will operate every 15 minutes between 09:00 and 18:20 on Saturday – there is no change to the Monday to Friday timetable.
Headington Roadworks - Bus Stop temporarily relocated
From Monday 10th May, Park & Ride 400 services heading towards Thornhill will be unable to use the Headington stop (just beyond Osler Road junction, outside Starbuck’s). All Park & Ride services towards Thornhill will therefore observe the city 8/9 stop (outside Allen & Harris).
Changes to city4
From Sunday 6th June 2010, the city4 route on evenings and Sundays will change from Wootton Road in Abingdon to the standard daytime route of Dalton Barracks, Shippon and Faringdon Road.
